About Me
I've been managing online websites since 1999 - and over the years, I have picked up skills that help me understand what consumers (and businesses) want online, how to excite them and generate traffic to websites, how to convert visitors to paying customers and how to improve relationships with customers to get them to buy more and more.
In 2003 I diverted some of my attention to eBay - I saw it initially as an additional channel to market for many of my clients. To enable me to fully understand how eBay works, how customers interact with it and how to maximise opportunities - I decided that I had to become an eBay seller.
My first year was fun - I started to sell well - I decided to concentrate on remote controlled toys and games as it was heading up to Christmas - I started some promotions that you never used to see on eBay (but the big retailers knew about them) - and pretty soon I was selling out of all the stock I had.
Within 12 months I has become an eBay PowerSeller - and at that point I decided that I had enough of eBay.
A few months later - I was given a challenge by a friend of mine to start again with absolutely nothing and see if I could become a PowerSeller again. I research the market and eBay and quickly decided upon my approach. I started with absolutely no cash - and within three months I had made almost £4500 of pure profit - I wasn't an eBay PowerSeller - but proved that anyone could play eBay and come out a winner.
