How To Gain Trust On eBay
No-one will buy from you unless they TRUST you - think about your own personal dealings in everyday matters and you know this statement to be true. So how do you build trust on eBay, a system where the majority of buyers are inherently distrusting of sellers ? especially where the sale concerns high value goods.
Well as a seller, there are a number of things that you can do to help your chances of making that sale.
Show Your Professionalism
In the way that you present yourself and your eBay business - so ensure that you have a custom logo for your business, professional looking listings, everything spell checked and checked for grammar. This includes not scamming people with shoddy goods or unfair postage rates.
Explain Yourself
The key to business trust is that you communicate well with potential buyers - so ensure that you have an About Me page, they are free to set up and provide you with the ability to explain who you are and why you are in business and any special reasons why customer should buy from you rather than a competitor. Ensure that in written communications you remain professional at all times - so ensure that you reply promptly to questions from potential buyers and that again, spelling and grammar is checked throughout.
Be Fair
Goes without saying really, if you treat your prospects fairly, and they buy from you and you work through any after sales issues promptly and to their satisfaction you will receive positive feedback and hopefully a glowing comment which will stand you in great stead for building trust and confidence with your next prospect.
Happy eBaying
