eBay Auction - Buyers not leaving feedback

All too often I hear sellers complaining that buyers do not leave feedback, and I know from experience that without a prompt only somewhere between 40 - 60 percent of buyers will actually leave feedback.

I never took this as a bad thing - I saw the opportunity to contact my buyers that I didn't recieve feedback from and talk to them again, sometime prompting both feedback and additional sales!

Hot Tips

1. In early automatic communications with buyers (i.e. successful bid email) - take this opportunity to inform your buyer that after they leave position feedback you will do too.
2. 30 days after you have sent the item you have had no feedback - send them a reminder - this time use some sales phrases in your email to tempt them back again ... "You may remember the great value x you recently purchased from me" ... "I have new items you might be interested in." ... "If you enjoyed my service and product forward my details to a friend" etc

   I know for a fact that this latter technique has resulted in extra sales for me.

So never see the lack of feedback as a negative ... see it as a positive.
